The blend of Mango, Banana, and Berries is such a delight! This healthy breakfast (or snack, or dessert) is so creamy and fruity. It’s the stuff of dreams! I have had such a blast experimenting with fun healthy breakfast and snack ideas lately! I have found a great support system of like minded people on Instagram and online that are constantly creating, and inspiring me. I am feeling so good having cut out sugars and white grains (for the most part) from my every day diet. I have lots more energy, and have a great feeling of control and satisfaction in my life.
Making smoothies, Banana Ice Cream aka “Nice Cream” & Smoothie Bowls has been such a delicious and EASY way to incorporate tons of fresh fruits and veggies into my diet! The toppings are endless and it makes way for creativity and beauty in the everyday. I found a recipe for Berry Chia Jam, which is one of the foods I was mourning since my sugar hiatus, from a rad gal living in Hawaii called Earthy Andy. She is one of the many new people I have followed on Instagram to help me along my journey towards super healthy living. It has been so helpful to go and follow a bunch of people working hard for the same things I am. 🙂

Now about this lovely bowl of goodness… My Mango Banana Nice Cream & Berry Chia Jam is such a quick and mouthwatering option for breakfast, or really any meal of the day. If you add chia seeds or any number of healthy carb & protein sources like raw-nola, fruits, grains etc, this makes for a very filling and satisfying dish. I hope you give it a try!
Here’s the recipe:
Mango Banana Nice Cream
- 2 frozen bananas, sliced
- 1 cup frozen mango
- Splash coconut milk
- Coconut water to desired consistency
Berry Chia Jam
- 2 cups fresh or (thawed) frozen berries
- 1 teaspoon truvia or sweetener of choice
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon coconut milk (optional)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- In a blender pulse together berries, sweetener, lemon juice, coconut milk and vanilla extract.
- Pour into bowl or jar. Stir in chia seeds. Cover and let sit for 20 minutes to activate chia seeds.
- Eat as is, or blend for a smoother consistency. Enjoy!
