Woah mama. This sucker packs all the goodness that pumpkin can bring into one delicious bowl. I know we’re all about pumpkin everything this month, and there is no better way to partake of this festive fall ingredient, than an Asian 5 Spice Pumpkin Smoothie Bowl. I mean, seriously, this is almost too pretty to eat. But obviously, I totally ate it… In fact, I had to fight off the handful of kids in my house after school to even get any! It was THAT good.
Now my lil almost-4-year-old tells me, “Mom, I only eat yellow smoothies, orange smoothies and pumpkin smoothies. Those are the best!” I guess pumpkin is a color now, and rightfully so! Hey, if you can win over my son with a smoothie you know its the bomb. He’s pickier than King Tut himself, the little rascal.
This smoothie not only tastes fab-u-loso on its own, but its topped off with some of my honey roasted oats, pecans and almonds. It tastes like candy, but is super healthy for you and has zero refined sugar. Add in a little banana, chia seeds and some chopped dried cherries and you are ready, steady, spaghetti. Grab a spoon and dig in, but go hide from the kids, or you’re likely not to get one bite!
This 5 Spice Pumpkin Smoothie Bowl has me all googley eyed. It kinda reminds me of this pic. It’s definitely worth throwing a few armfuls of leaves in the air over. Side note… The leaves on my street are KILLING IT this fall. I can’t believe they have almost all fallen! I am far from ready for winter. Let’s send a petition to mother nature insisting that this fall weather stay around for a minimum of 6 months out of the year. Who’s with me?

Here is the recipe:
- 3 frozen bananas, sliced
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup coconut milk
- ¼ cup plain greek yogurt
- ½ heaping teaspoon Asian 5 Spice Blend
- Banana slices, chia seeds, honey roasted nuts and oats or any granola of your choice and chopped dried cherries.
- Place all ingredients in a high powered blender. Blend until super smooth. Top with desired toppings and enjoy!
